“His left hand is under my head, and His right hand embraces me.” ~ Song of Songs 2:6
The left hand represents the invisible activity of God. The left hand is behind your head, felt but not seen. It speaks of the activity of God in your life that you are not aware of. The invisible activity of God in your life is a very important expression of God’s love for you. God is both witholding and releasing events that you cannot discern, however they are present just the same.
The left hand activity of God is something you accept by faith. It is not important to daily recognize and see every detail of His activity in your life because that’s not the point. There are just so many things withheld from you that would have caused anguish, fear, worry, and pain. Yet in His mercy and grace, he allowed them to be hidden from you. How good is His love towards you!
You are the Father’s son/daughter. You are totally always welcome in His embrace. When you see yourself in His arms, you really are there. It’s where you belong, there is no fear or shame in the presence of perfect love.
